The Effervescent Sleepless Nights
He and She had become close friends. They used to talk regularly on facebook and whats app and hike and instagram and hangout and all other possible social media platforms. They both were enjoying chatting with each other. They used to chat for hours. Slowly and gradually, they were becoming habit of each other, which they both were unaware of.
They were shy. their talks were simple. Their conversations began formally but, in no time, it become quite relaxed and informal when they found out themselves comfortable with each other.
They generally used to talk about their family and about the rituals, cultures of their caste. veeraj used to send her pictures of his nephew, the cute, adorable little vihaan who is always a part of Nandita's interest and veeraj was using this “Brahmastra” wisely.

“Hiiii”, he messaged her.
“Hello”, she replied instantly as if she was waiting for him to send her a message.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing much. just sitting freely. U?”
“Me too. ummmm… you are not doing anything, ive also nothing to do, so can i call you?”
“Yepp. Call me,”
The very first call between the two of them lasted for 3 hours. They almost like talked about everything except the fact that they both like each others company a lot. She is very active throughout the conversation.On the other end veeraj was just a silent listener. Don’t know how much veeraj had understood what Nandita was explaining him moreover teaching him about ‘durga puja’ and ‘bhai-duj’ but it is true that he loved hearing her voice.
He was happy. And This time the reason was well known. He wondered. Was she thinking about the conversation too,at that time sitting somewhere in her room. Now he was becoming more furious. He felt like calling her up again and it was hard to curb that urge. But he had to curb it, because he did not want to mess things up right in the beginning by becoming a guy who bothers her at 2.00 in the night.
Alone in his room, he was smiling, blushing. And after a couple of excited hours He slept. Just so that the night would pass and a new day would come when he could hear her beautiful voice once again.

Veeraj was very confused at that point of time. They have had many healthy talks in the virtual world, but they did not talk in person. He wanted to get a bit closer to Nandita. He decided to meet her. Reason was simple, he only wanted to know her better, be with her and make her laugh.
Now a days Veeraj’s 'Despacito’ alert tone was changed to 'beep beep’ ie; a sweet 'Good Morning’ message from her. And Four Sugar cubes reduced to One, just to make sure that his flat toned belly never expand to a family pack. Sudden changes in his routine and behavior stunned his family. Though they were unaware of the fact that inside their son's heart something was gradually growing up which was the reason for all of it.

“I'm good you?”
“Me too.”
“So u r a Crab. Huh..??”
“ Yaaa…. Wait.. what ? I'm a crab?”
“Chuckles. I mean you were born in June,”
“Ohh… yess unfortunately . So in that way you are a lion,”

“May i ask you something?”
“Yes. Anything!”
“Ummm…. what you want in your
birthday? I want to give you something. If you don’t mind”.
silence. No reply from the other end.
“?????”
“Sorry. Actually i was talking to my friend,” she finally replied.
Veeraj didn’t understand whether she ignored his question or she didn’t see that.
“So?”
“So, what?”
“So… what you want in your birthday?”
“Came to my city,” she chuckled.
“What?” actually it was more like, “W-H-A-T????” A single word with a thousand thoughts running through it, all in different directions.
She send back to back emoticons.
“Ok..ok..! Don’t worry so much. I was just kidding,”
“Ohhh..!! Thank God. You freak me out.”
“No, honestly speaking, i don’t want anything. Just wish me and that will be enough.Dont mind ,” she replied.
“Ok. No problem.”
Veeraj knew it would happen. He was sad now. He was upset. Though he didn’t want to be, but he was. He put a smile on his face. He didn't want the reflection of his heart to be reflected through his face. He knew that something was wrong with him. But he never knew that these feelings could be love and one of the best love stories was going to happen with him in the future...
